The university issued a news release quoting team physician Dr. Larry Rink as saying Davis was “doing better” Sunday morning and had benefited from uninterrupted rest. “His speech is normal and he has the use of all extremities,” Rink said. The news release did not indicate the 19-year-old’s medical condition. He had been listed in serious condition Saturday at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Bloomington police say they found Davis unconscious early Saturday after he was struck by an SUV driven by teammate Emmitt Holt outside of Memorial Stadium....

District officials have said that rainbow LGBT Pride flags which they ordered be removed from the Spanish, French, and art classrooms on Tuesday, violated the school’s no “political paraphernalia” policy. “The issue with displaying the flag in a school is a double-edged sword. If an LGBTQ+ flag is allowed to be displayed, then any other group would have the same ability. Rita Subowo, president of the Indonesian Olympic Committee, made a presentation at the OCA general assembly Saturday morning before their bid won the nod, reports Xinhua. “Indonesia is ready to host the next Asian Games in 2018,” Subowo told the OCA general assembly. “It’s our dreams to host again the Asian Games after 56 years.
