In response to the killings, Indian protesters in several cities have burned China’s flag, Chinese-made products and effigies of President Xi Jinping. The protesters want India to retaliate in some way for the alleged killings and to cut off trade ties with China. According to NDTV, Ranjit Singh—a retired Indian military major and president of the Residents Welfare Association (RWA) of Defence Colony, an organization of a neighborhood in southern New Delhi—said in a now-viral five-minute audio message that the RWA had “declared war” on China, and he urged all India citizens to boycott Chinese-made goods....
It will be the 23rd consecutive Opening Day sellout for the Indians and the 22nd straight since the club moved from Municipal Stadium to Progressive Field in 1994, which underwent renovations this winter. MORE: Five bold predictions for the 2015 Indians The Indians averaged 18,428 fans per game and drew just 1.4 million fans last season, ranking 29th among major league teams. The club is hopeful that the ballpark — with fewer seats from previous seasons — will bring in a larger crowd this year once renovations are finished....

Why Infections Occur Most shoulder infections resulting from surgery are caused by bacteria that are normally found on the surface of your skin. These bacteria can get access to the deeper soft-tissues and joint spaces in your shoulder when your skin is cut. If the infectious organisms make their way into these deeper tissues, and your body’s immune defense doesn’t adequately protect you from them, you might develop an infection....
Filip, the defending champion, and Henrik, the 2012 winner, tried to make it a family sweep of the medals but were pipped to silver and bronze by Poland’s Marcin Lewandowski and Britain’s Jake Wightman, respectively. Jakob won in 3 minutes, 38.10 seconds, while Henrik missed out on a medal by 0.25 seconds. Filip finished further back. In another race featuring brothers at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, Britain’s Matthew Hudson-Smith won the 400 from Belgium’s Borlee twins, Kevin and Jonathan, who took silver and bronze, respectively....
There is no crisis at Manchester City Iniesta was taken off on a stretcher following a heavy challenge from Enzo Perez in the first half of Saturday’s win over Valencia. The Spain international appeared to jar his right leg as Perez slid in with a robust tackle after 14 minutes at Mestalla and was taken off in clear discomfort. Barca confirmed after the match that he had sustained damage to a collateral ligament and, after further tests, announced that he is likely to be sidelined until the middle of December....

Pogba missed United’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday with a thigh injury, while Martial – who scored his side’s goal from the penalty spot – has sustained a groin problem. Both players reported for duty on Monday at France’s Clairefontaine training base, but after consultations with Les Bleus’ medial staff the decision was made to send them back to Manchester for further treatment. Didier Deschamps has replaced the pair with Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko and Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette....
Both Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and Brandon Marshall (ankle) are listed as “questionable” after skipping practice all week. Jeffery’s injury is thought to be the more serious of the two, but with the Bears playing on Sunday night against the 49ers, it’s tough to take chances with either. This obviously hurts Jay Cutler’s value, but it gives TE Martellus Bennett a nice boost and makes Santonio Holmes a worthwhile pickup, especially if you own either Jeffery and Marshall and want to wait out the official announcement of inactives....
As seen below in the trailer from NetherRealm Studios, The Joker trades verbal barbs with Damien Wayne before they battle, as their conversation alludes to the grim fate of a previous Robin, Jason Todd, of whom the villain once beat to a pulp and left for dead. As the fight ensues, the Joker shows why Injustice 2’s developers decided to include him as the last reveal for the roster, as he unleashes a deceptively speedy flurry of close-range crowbar and knife combo attacks, long distance venom and gas bombs, and a super move that’s quite literally electrifying....

Indian athletes such as Dutee Chand, Hima Das, Harmalin Bains, Tejinderpal Toor and Seema Punia have been training hard at their respective bases but competitions have eluded them....

New Delhi, May 16 (PTI) The Indian women’s team historic performance at the Commonwealth Games has even attracted the attention of table-tennis powerhouse China, says chief national coach Massimo Costantini. “We are getting a lot of respect from everyone. When we were playing China in the World Championships (earlier this May), they were very concerned about playing us. Some of the coaches like China’s coach even asked for the video of the match in which India beat Singapore (to win the CWG gold),” India’s Italian coach told PTI....
