Seeded fifth at the start of the event, the Indian men played out a 2-2 draw against Poland in the 11th round, while the women recovered some lost ground to beat Mongolia 3-1 after facing some anxious moments...

The Indian mixed team of Deepika Kumari and Mangal Singh Champia took silver at the World Archery Championships in Wroclaw, Poland today. The recurve team, playing Mexico’s Aida Roman and Juan Rene Serrano in the final event, lost to them 1-5(36-36)(35-37)(36-37). Kumari and Roman were the two top seeded female archers at the championships. Yesterday marked a special independence day for India as archer Abhishek Verma took gold in the men’s individual compound event yesterday....
