Boateng just did some light running instead of the full team training at Bayern’s ground on Wednesday, reports Xinhua.
The 28-year-old suffered a muscle tear in his right thigh in Germany’s 0-2 defeat to France in the semi-finals of Euro 2016.
The club said that he would definitely miss the start of the Bundesliga season when Bayern host Werder Bremen on August 26.
