The home side, Milan, have had an uncertain start to the season so far, with three different results in their three games, and no convincing performances. The first game of the season was a shock defeat, followed by an unconvincing win, and a last gasp draw, where Mario Balotelli extended his penalty scoring streak.
The Rossonieri got a win against Celtic as well after a laborious performance. Their play hasn’t really been very convincing, and the opposition always seem to have a chance. However, it would be foolish to discount them. Under Allegri, they have always performed very decently, and they certainly have the fire-power to beat Napoli.
Balotelli has led the line well, and back-up from the likes of Robinho can provide the danger. In midfield, De Jong has come in, and added some solidity. The likes of Muntari will do the running and add muscle. The defence has been a bit shaky at times this season, but the return of Ignazio Abate will be good news to Milan fans. The team is struggling with injuries though, with key players like Kaka, Di Sciglio and El Shaarawy out injured.
Below, we have an infographic with all the important numbers ahead of the big game. Napoli and Milan are bound to be contenders for the title, although they’ve had opposite starts to the campaign.
